Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024, scheduled for June 10, will showcase the launch of iOS 18 and explore significant artificial intelligence advancements. The event is anticipated to include updates for various Apple products, collaboration with tech giants, and possibly new hardware announcements.
Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024 is set to take place on June 10, marking the tech giant’s most significant software event of the year. The event will introduce iOS 18 for the iPhone, along with various new operating system versions across other Apple products.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is expected to be a central theme at this year’s conference. Apple has hinted at significant AI advancements, despite its historical reluctance to use the term “AI” explicitly. Updates may include enhancements to Siri, automatic Apple Music playlist generation, and tools for writing and coding assistance. Additionally, Apple is rumored to be collaborating with Google and OpenAI to develop more advanced generative AI capabilities.
Beyond AI, the iPhone is rumored to receive a more customizable home screen. Other Apple products, including the Mac, Watch, Apple TV, Apple Vision Pro, and HomePod, are also anticipated to receive updates.
The Vision Pro augmented reality headset, initially introduced at last year’s WWDC and released in February, is expected to see further distribution, potentially expanding to markets such as the UK, Australia, Japan, and China.
While WWDC focuses primarily on software, new hardware announcements are possible. Updates to the Mac Studio and Mac Pro, potentially featuring the upcoming M4 chip, may also be unveiled.
