OpenAI, backed by Microsoft, is rapidly growing with over 150 job roles available across the globe, catering to tech-centric positions as well as sales, legal, and customer service roles. The company offers attractive benefits and competitive salaries while seeking candidates who excel in a dynamic and innovative work environment.

OpenAI, known for its widely recognized ChatGPT platform, is expanding rapidly in 2024. With financial backing from Microsoft, the company currently employs around 1,200 people and has over 150 job roles available globally. Positions range from tech-centric roles to sales, legal, payroll, and customer service. Key roles include Account Associate and AI Policy Council in San Francisco, as well as various positions in London and Tokyo.

The company attracts employees with generous benefits such as flexible hours, 20 weeks paid parental leave, health insurance, free meals, and a development stipend. However, the interview process can be intensive and time-consuming, often involving multiple stages such as coding tests, phone interviews, and in-person tasks.

OpenAI’s main offices are located in San Francisco, with additional offices in London, Dublin, and Tokyo. Some remote roles are available, though CEO Sam Altman has expressed strong preferences for in-office work.

Salary ranges for key positions, as reported by employees on Glassdoor, vary: Directors earn between $510,000 and $546,000 annually, Advisory Consultants between $208,000 and $224,000, Product Managers between $122,000 and $132,000, and Research Scientists between $122,000 and $131,000.

OpenAI offers opportunities for professionals at the cutting edge of AI technology, seeking candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
