PALO ALTO, California — Apple unveiled its highly-anticipated artificial intelligence strategy at its annual developer conference on Monday, detailing plans for its “Apple Intelligence” generative AI to enhance its devices. The announcement was made during the keynote address at the five-day Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) held at Apple Park in California.
The event, which kicked off with numerous updates to the operating systems of various Apple products—including the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Watch, and Vision Pro—highlighted Apple’s partnership with ChatGPT-developer, OpenAI. This collaboration aims to integrate advanced AI capabilities across all Apple devices.
The AI tools, branded Apple Intelligence, are designed to make Apple devices smarter and more efficient for users, and are scheduled to be part of the upcoming iOS 18 set for public release this fall.
