NVIDIA Announces Applications for $60,000 Graduate Fellowship Awards

NVIDIA has officially opened the application window for its prestigious Graduate Fellowship Program, which offers up to $60,000 in grants to doctoral students engaged in pioneering research across a range of fields linked to NVIDIA technologies. This initiative, now in its 24th year, is detailed in a recent announcement on NVIDIA’s blog.

Programme Details and Eligibility

The fellowship program is targeted at Ph.D. students whose work aligns with the forefront of technological advancements, specifically in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, autonomous vehicles, computer graphics, robotics, healthcare, and high-performance computing. Through this programme, NVIDIA not only provides financial backing but also offers mentorship and technical support from its team of experts, fostering a conducive environment for innovation and breakthrough discoveries.

Since its establishment in 2002, the NVIDIA Graduate Fellowship Program has awarded 200 grants amounting to more than $6.5 million. To be considered eligible, applicants must be doctoral-level students who have completed at least their first year of studies by the time of applying. Another essential requirement is participation in a summer internship at an NVIDIA research office preceding the fellowship year.

Application Process and Deadline

Interested candidates aiming for the 2025-2026 academic year need to submit their applications by Friday, September 13, 2024. Further details regarding eligibility and the application procedures are available on the program’s official website.

Impact on Research and Innovation

The fellowship has played a pivotal role in propelling research across critical technological arenas. By merging top-tier academic talent with the latest in accelerated computing technologies, NVIDIA aims to drive significant advancements in addressing some of today’s most formidable research challenges.

This continued support underscores NVIDIA’s commitment to nurturing emerging talent and promoting innovation in key technological domains. Given the increasing relevance of AI, machine learning, and other advanced fields, the fellowship represents a unique and invaluable opportunity for budding researchers to contribute to groundbreaking scientific and technological progress.
