AEWIN Technologies Co., Ltd launches a new series of 2U rackmount platforms featuring Intel and AMD processors, designed for networking, cybersecurity, and Edge AI applications.

AEWIN Technologies Unveils Advanced 2U Rackmount Platforms

TAIPEI, August 14, 2024 — AEWIN Technologies Co., Ltd has introduced a new series of 2U rackmount platforms powered by Intel and AMD server-grade processors. The launch includes four models: SCB-1942, SCB-1943, SCB-1946, and SCB-1947, which are designed for networking, cybersecurity, and Edge AI applications.

These appliances are equipped with Intel’s 4th/5th Gen Xeon CPUs and AMD’s Zen4/Zen4c EPYC CPUs. Each model supports up to eight PCIe Gen5 slots for network interface cards (NICs) ranging from 1G to 100G. Notably, these slots can be customized for additional functionality, including installing a PCIe x16 slot add-on card.

The platforms aim to provide high throughput and low latency, vital for compute-intensive tasks. They also offer significant internal storage options, including support for SATA and mSATA SSDs, along with dual M.2 2280 NVMe SSDs for fast OS booting. Depending on user needs, the systems can integrate either Intel’s Emerald Rapids-SP CPUs for cryptography acceleration or AMD’s Bergamo and Siena CPUs for high core counts and energy efficiency respectively.

To support AI applications, these platforms feature high-speed DDR5 and PCIe 5.0, with increased input/output bandwidth. Additionally, two dual-width PCIe x16 GPU/FPGA cards can be installed, along with four PCIe 5.0 x8 slots. These design choices make the models conducive for edge AI tasks, such as AI-powered cybersecurity, intelligent storage, and Mobile Edge Computing (MEC).

With rich input/output options and flexible expandability, AEWIN’s platforms are positioned to cater to diverse computing needs with optimal total cost of ownership (TCO). The SCB-1942 and SCB-1943 feature Intel’s Emerald Rapids-SP CPUs, while the SCB-1946 and SCB-1947 come with AMD’s Bergamo and Siena CPUs, respectively.

These new offerings underscore AEWIN’s commitment to advancing networking and edge computing solutions.
