Refik Anadol showcased his latest piece, ‘Large Nature Model: Living Art,’ at the Nvidia GTC conference, featuring a stunning 16K resolution artwork powered by Nvidia’s AI technology and created in collaboration with experts from around the globe.

AI artist Refik Anadol showcased his latest creation, “Large Nature Model: Living Art,” at the Nvidia GTC global AI conference for developers on March 26, 2024. The 16K resolution artwork was displayed on a 40-meter by 20-meter video wall shortly before Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang’s keynote speech.

The AI-generated piece was produced by Refik Anadol Studio, involving 29 experts in data science, graphic design, and AI from around the world. The artwork uses a foundational model from Getty Images, built on Nvidia Edify architecture, and was further refined with a dataset of around 750,000 images of Amazonian biodiversity — covering images of flora, fauna, and fungi.

Nvidia’s AI technology, including DGX A100 stations and high-performance GPUs, powered the creation. The installation was facilitated by AV Stumpfl’s Pixera media servers, deployed by the Fuse Technical Group.
