Annelies Kampert, Vice President and General Manager of Crestron Europe, was born and raised in Brussels, Belgium. She now resides near Mechelen, a Flemish town situated between Brussels and Antwerp.
Kampert’s journey into the audiovisual (AV) industry began unexpectedly. With a master’s degree in European History, she initially worked as a history teacher and later transitioned into HR and recruitment in the private sector. By 2012, she joined Crestron Europe as an HR manager, eventually becoming the general manager in September 2019.
Kampert dedicates most of her spare time to family and friends, with notable interests in baking, drawing, and reading. She often shares her baked goods and favorite books with colleagues at Crestron.
Regarding the AV industry’s post-COVID-19 landscape, Kampert noted a return to steady product flow despite ongoing geopolitical challenges. She sees significant potential in solutions that blend collaboration, content sharing, and room control, emphasizing the evolving nature of hybrid work environments.
Kampert envisions advanced integration of AV and Unified Communications technology with building management systems, aiming for seamless automation and control.
Crestron continues to navigate world politics and economic uncertainties, yet anticipates renewed momentum in delayed projects. The company seeks to maintain its role as a trusted partner by focusing on a comprehensive portfolio encompassing video conferencing, audio, video distribution, control, and remote management.
Looking ahead, Crestron plans to introduce new products at InfoComm 2024, including expanded capabilities for its control system to integrate with third-party video conferencing platforms. This aims to enhance customer investment and provide superior control system functionality.
