Zane Galway from Shellharbour, New South Wales, experienced a touching moment at his wedding when a special message from his late best friend Brayden was read out using artificial intelligence, capturing cherished memories and humour from their friendship.

An Australian groom experienced an emotional moment at his wedding in April on the NSW South Coast. Zane Galway, from Shellharbour, New South Wales, received a special message from his best friend and best man, Brayden, who had passed away before the event due to meningitis.

The message was arranged by Brayden’s mother and was read out at the wedding, using artificial intelligence to recreate his voice. Mitch Hickman, a wedding videographer, captured the poignant moment. Brayden’s speech included cherished memories and humorous anecdotes from their friendship.

The video gained wide attention online, amassing over 951,000 views, 50,800 likes, and 335 comments. Comments included expressions of emotion and appreciation for the use of AI to preserve Brayden’s memory.
