Other mining companies like Hut 8 and Iris Energy have also joined the trend by launching AI-hosting initiatives.

The increasing interest in these resources was highlighted when CoreWeave made a takeover offer for Bitcoin miner Core Scientific. This interest was underscored by Core Scientific’s recent $3.5 billion agreement to host CoreWeave’s AI services, marking the largest miner/AI collaboration to date. Additionally, Bitwise noted that other mining companies like Hut 8 and Iris Energy have also launched AI-hosting initiatives this year.
