Coohom Cloud, a subset of MANYCORE TECH INC., revealed cutting-edge interior dataset solutions at CVPR 2024 in Seattle, enhancing AI capabilities in areas like computer vision and robotics. Leveraging advanced rendering engines and data processing technologies, the company’s offerings are poised to revolutionise training scenarios and simulate real-world interactions for AI systems.

Driving AI Forward: Coohom Cloud’s New Interior Dataset Solutions Unveiled at CVPR 2024

HANGZHOU, China, Jun 28, 2024 – Coohom Cloud, an offshoot of MANYCORE TECH INC., showcased its latest advancements in interior dataset products for artificial intelligence at the Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR) 2024 in Seattle. The event, held between June 17-21, brought together top researchers and industry experts to discuss breakthroughs across computer vision, machine learning, and related technologies.

Embodied intelligence—a fusion of computer vision, machine learning, and robotics—was a major focus this year. This field aims to create AI systems with capabilities similar to those of humans, necessitating high-quality datasets for substantial training. As such, Coohom Cloud’s new offerings may contribute significantly to these advancements.

Founded by the Koolab Innovation Laboratory of MANYCORE TECH INC. in 2017, Coohom Cloud draws from its parent company’s rich repository of indoor data resources. MANYCORE TECH INC. itself is noted for its global cloud-based interior design software. The company’s focus on rendering engines and advanced data processing technologies facilitates the delivery of realistic and physically accurate 2D and 3D datasets.

One of the landmark projects by MANYCORE TECH INC. was the creation of InteriorNet in 2018, developed in partnership with Imperial College London and the University of Southern California. This dataset was the largest publicly available indoor scene dataset at the time. Building on this foundation, MANYCORE TECH INC. now produces over 400,000 3D designs daily, providing approximately 360 million 3D models spanning various household items and furnishings. These resources underpin Coohom Cloud’s offerings in interior environment understanding, 3D reconstruction, and robotics simulation.

Coohom Cloud’s 2D data rendering capabilities are particularly noteworthy. Utilising a proprietary rendering engine, the company captures a wide array of 2D datasets by altering camera parameters, path trajectories, and lighting conditions. This results in the creation of datasets in various formats such as RGB, depth, semantic, normal, and point cloud. Currently, Coohom Cloud manages to produce 300,000 2D dataset sets per day, aimed at enhancing AI agents’ navigation, visual perception, and environmental understanding capabilities.

In its quest to deliver cost-effective data solutions, Coohom Cloud has developed an efficient data processing engine. This technology converts vast data collections into formats suitable for AI training. Coohom Cloud’s processing capabilities extend to enhancing the physical properties of their datasets, thus supporting training scenarios that closely mimic real-world interactions.

Furthermore, Coohom Cloud integrates modern simulation platforms like NVIDIA Isaac Sim to create 3D environments with realistic physical attributes. These environments are used to test robots in a virtual setting, potentially reducing training costs and improving both safety and repeatability.

To diversify their virtual environments, Coohom Cloud’s tools can adjust model elements, materials, and lighting conditions to simulate real-world complexity. This diversification augments the adaptability and generalisation capabilities of AI models.

Additionally, Coohom Cloud employs advanced synthetic data generation techniques for custom segmentation and annotation. This approach allows for precise labelling, enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of data processing.

About MANYCORE TECH INC.

Founded in November 2011, MANYCORE TECH INC. specialises in cloud-based interior design software systems. Aimed at “Realising Imagination,” the company provides solutions for design rendering, marketing display, and construction implementation. MANYCORE TECH INC. is also active in research, regularly contributing to top international academic conferences in the fields of computer graphics and AI.

About Coohom Cloud

Established in 2017 under MANYCORE TECH INC., Coohom Cloud offers professional data services, generating synthetic interior data and 3D virtual assets. Focusing on industries like Robotics, AI agents, and XR, Coohom Cloud aims to speed up advancements within these fields.

The release of these new dataset solutions highlights the company’s sustained commitment to innovation in data service solutions for AI and computer vision applications.
