Crowdbotics partners with Microsoft to integrate cloud services and AI, enhancing development processes through CodeOps. The collaboration aims to expedite app development by automating code reuse and leveraging AI technologies. This strategic alliance offers a comprehensive solution for enterprises looking to streamline application development and drive innovation.

Crowdbotics Collaborates with Microsoft to Enhance App Development through CodeOps

April 23, 2024, BERKELEY, Calif. – Crowdbotics, known for advancing software development methodologies, has announced a new partnership with Microsoft. This collaboration aims to integrate Microsoft’s prowess in cloud services and artificial intelligence (AI) with Crowdbotics’ innovative CodeOps platform, a system designed to streamline the application development process through code reuse.

The announcement coincides with the general release of Crowdbotics’ CodeOps platform. This AI-powered tool is crafted to enhance customers’ existing DevSecOps processes by systematically reusing code, potentially accelerating both the development cycle and deployment times of enterprise applications on Microsoft Azure.

Details of the Collaboration

Microsoft’s role in the partnership focuses on providing its established cloud infrastructure and AI expertise, while Crowdbotics contributes its specialised CodeOps methodology. CodeOps leverages AI to automate various stages of the software development lifecycle, including requirement documentation and code assembly, thereby speeding up the overall process.

Anand Kulkarni, CEO of Crowdbotics, stated, “This collaboration with Microsoft helps validate the efficiency and power of our CodeOps platform. Our combined resources offer organisations the tools they need to expedite app development and allow them to direct their energy towards other areas of innovation.”

Microsoft echoed this sentiment, with Gustavo Blum, General Manager of Global Partner Solutions, commenting, “By partnering with Crowdbotics, we can offer customers more efficient ways to develop applications, saving both time and resources. Our integration of AI and Crowdbotics’ systematic code reuse methodology provides a robust toolkit for driving digital transformation.”

Introduction of the Crowdbotics CodeOps Platform

Now generally available, the Crowdbotics CodeOps platform is premised on the insight that a significant portion of project code—up to 70%, according to Crowdbotics—has typically already been developed. The platform is structured around four main stages:

  1. Planning: Utilising AI to enhance the quality of Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), ensuring they incorporate infrastructural, standard, and policy considerations.
  2. Matching: Advanced AI technologies match each application requirement detailed in the PRD with existing code housed in a centralised module catalogue.
  3. Assembly: AI then assembles these identified modules into a nearly complete application.
  4. Deployment: Developers concentrate on integrating any remaining unique and essential features.

This structured approach reduces redundancy and accelerates the transition from conceptualisation to practical deployment, enabling faster, more innovative development cycles.

Continuing the Trend of AI in Software Development

The Crowdbotics platform signifies a broader trend in the software development industry toward using AI to make the development process more efficient. By focusing resources on reusing existing, validated code structures, development teams can potentially save significant time and effort, mitigating risks associated with coding from scratch.

Crowdbotics aims to position CodeOps as a standard methodology for future software development, emphasising the benefits of AI-enhanced, systematic code reuse. By partnering with Microsoft, Crowdbotics hopes to offer a comprehensive solution to enterprise customers looking to streamline their application development.

About Crowdbotics

Crowdbotics provides enterprises with tools to accelerate software delivery through strategic code reuse and generative AI. Its CodeOps platform facilitates faster development cycles while ensuring governance over diverse code sources. This emerging framework focuses on generating, storing, and strategically reusing code components.
