DeepL, a leader in Language AI, has expanded its AI-driven translation service, DeepL Pro, to 165 new markets worldwide. The move aims to meet the increasing demand for AI-powered translation solutions among businesses and revolutionise international communications.

DeepL Expands AI Translation Solution to 165 New Markets

COLOGNE, Germany, June 26, 2024 – DeepL, a frontrunner in the field of Language AI, has announced the global rollout of its AI-driven translation service, DeepL Pro. This expansion sees its services now accessible in 165 additional markets across the Asia-Pacific region, Africa, Europe, the Americas, and the Antarctic.

The move is set to cater to the growing demand for AI-powered translation solutions among businesses worldwide. Currently, DeepL’s Language AI platform is utilised by over 100,000 enterprises and government entities, including prominent names such as Nikkei, Deutsche Bahn, and Zendesk. These organisations leverage DeepL’s technology to navigate new markets, enhance customer service, and reduce localization costs.

Jarek Kutylowski, CEO and Founder of DeepL, highlighted the significance of this global expansion. “Businesses are increasingly recognising the value of AI, seeking technologies that offer measurable benefits. DeepL’s mission of breaking down language barriers is hugely advanced by this worldwide availability, fundamentally changing how businesses operate on an international scale,” Kutylowski stated.

The expansion reflects broader trends in AI adoption across the corporate sector. A reported 42% of enterprises are already deploying AI, with an additional 40% exploring its potential. In a market projected to be worth $67.9 billion, DeepL’s language-focused solutions are emerging prominently across various industries, including manufacturing, legal, retail, healthcare, and technology.

Unlike more general-purpose AI systems, DeepL’s services are based on models fine-tuned specifically for language tasks. This specialization purportedly results in higher accuracy and lower risks of errors such as hallucinations or misinformation, which are critical concerns in professional environments.

The company’s flagship product, DeepL Pro, offers a suite of features designed to meet diverse business needs:

  1. Data Security: DeepL prioritises data privacy, deleting all data immediately after processing and ensuring that customer texts are never shared or used for AI training. Its compliance with GDPR and other stringent regulatory frameworks underscores this commitment.

  2. Unlimited Translation: Businesses with high translation demands can use DeepL Pro’s unlimited text translation feature to manage their needs effectively.

  3. Translation Quality: Benefiting from proprietary AI models and human feedback, DeepL Pro aims to provide translations with unmatched precision and fluency.

  4. Personalisation: Enhanced features allow companies to maintain consistent brand messaging and streamline their communications.

  5. Document Translation: DeepL Pro offers the capability to translate larger documents while preserving original formatting, simplifying document management.

  6. API Integration: Through the DeepL API Pro subscription, organisations can translate websites, applications, and internal tools seamlessly.

The cost-saving potential of DeepL’s platform is backed by a 2024 study from Forrester, which indicated a 345% return on investment. Companies reported a 90% reduction in translation time and a 50% decrease in workload, emphasising the efficiency gains achievable with DeepL’s solutions.

With its extended availability now encompassing markets such as Venezuela, Laos, Bolivia, Algeria, and Honduras, DeepL Pro is reaching a total of 228 markets globally. This strategic move potentially positions DeepL as a significant player in the AI translation industry, aiming to revolutionise business communications and market expansions.

DeepL, founded in 2017 by Jarek Kutylowski, continues to grow its workforce, currently employing over 900 individuals. It is backed by notable investors, including Benchmark, IVP, and Index Ventures. The company remains committed to its mission of eliminating language barriers for businesses around the world.
