DeepL Expands Language AI Solutions to 165 Markets Globally

COLOGNE, Germany – DeepL, a prominent player in the Language AI industry, has announced a significant expansion of its translation services, making its DeepL Pro solution available to businesses in 165 additional markets. This move brings the company’s total reach to 228 markets globally, spanning regions in Asia-Pacific (APAC), Africa, Europe, the Americas, and Antarctica.

DeepL, established in 2017 and headquartered in Cologne, Germany, is known for delivering advanced, AI-driven translation services. The company’s solutions are utilised by over 100,000 enterprises and governmental bodies worldwide, including notable entities such as Nikkei, Deutsche Bahn, and Zendesk. These organizations leverage DeepL’s technology to facilitate international growth, enhance customer service, and streamline translation and localization processes.

Jarek Kutylowski, DeepL’s CEO and Founder, stated, “More and more companies are exploring the potential of AI and are looking for technology that delivers real value and ROI. DeepL goes beyond being a cutting-edge AI company—we’re building AI that delivers tangible, proven benefits for various important language use cases ranging from internal operations to customer service.” Kutylowski emphasised the company’s mission to eliminate language barriers on a global scale, framing this expansion as a crucial step in realising that vision.

Recent data indicates an increasing interest in AI solutions among global businesses. Nearly 42% of enterprises are currently deploying AI, with an additional 40% exploring its possibilities. Within this competitive landscape, DeepL aims to transform the language services sector, a market valued at approximately $67.9 billion. DeepL’s clientele spans various industries, including manufacturing, legal, retail, healthcare, technology, and professional services, all of which require precise and reliable translation services.

DeepL Pro, the company’s flagship service, is designed to address multifaceted language-related challenges faced by global businesses. Unlike generic AI models, DeepL’s specialised models ensure more accurate translations, reducing risks associated with errors and misinformation. Maintaining high accuracy is essential for businesses, particularly in sectors where trust and precision are paramount.

Subscribers to DeepL Pro benefit from several key features:
– Data Security: All data is deleted post-processing to ensure privacy. Additionally, texts are not used to train DeepL’s AI or shared with third parties. The platform complies with stringent GDPR regulations and holds ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II certifications.
– Unlimited Translation: Businesses with extensive translation requirements can utilise DeepL Pro’s unlimited text translation features.
– High Translation Quality: DeepL’s translations are informed by specialised AI and human feedback, ensuring superior quality.
– Personalisation: Enhanced personalisation options help maintain consistent brand messaging.
– Document Translation: Larger files can be translated while preserving original formatting, streamlining document management.
– API Integration: The DeepL API Pro subscription supports seamless translation of websites, apps, and internal software.

A Forrester study conducted in 2024 found that using DeepL can result in notable cost and time efficiencies for businesses, boasting a 345% return on investment (ROI). This includes a 90% reduction in translation time and a 50% decrease in workload.

The new markets now served by DeepL include Venezuela, Laos, Bolivia, Algeria, and Honduras, among others. As businesses continue to expand internationally, the demand for accurate, efficient, and secure translation services remains critical. DeepL’s expanded presence aims to cater to this growing need, offering a robust solution to global language barriers.

DeepL currently employs over 900 people and continues to innovate within the language services space, supported by notable investors such as Benchmark, IVP, and Index Ventures.
