Experience the iconic Elvis Presley brought back to life as a hologram in the immersive concert show ‘Elvis Evolution’, featuring AI technology and holographic projection. Get ready for a multi-sensory experience with digital Elvis performing his greatest hits and more.
Elvis Presley will be brought back to life as a hologram in a new virtual reality show titled “Elvis Evolution.” The immersive concert experience, which employs artificial intelligence and holographic projection, will launch in London in November 2024, with subsequent shows in Las Vegas, Tokyo, and Berlin. The hologram was developed through a collaboration between British immersive entertainment company Layered Reality and Authentic Brands Group, the holder of Elvis’ image rights.
The show promises to feature a life-size digital Elvis performing his iconic songs and moves, enhanced by thousands of personal photos and home videos, augmented reality, live theatre elements, and multi-sensory effects. An on-site Elvis-themed bar and restaurant will also be available, offering live music and performances. Tickets for the London show will be on sale starting in June.
“Elvis Evolution” aims to offer an interactive experience for fans, according to Layered Reality founder and CEO Andrew McGuinness. The project is among the latest in a trend of using digital avatars to recreate performances of deceased music icons, with prior examples including Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson.
In recent years, interest in Elvis Presley has been rekindled through films like Baz Luhrmann’s “Elvis” and Sofia Coppola’s “Priscilla.” Born in Tupelo, Mississippi, on January 8, 1935, Elvis Presley passed away in Memphis on August 16, 1977, at the age of 42.
