Google has unveiled Google Vids, an AI-powered video generation tool designed to assist businesses with creating videos for various purposes such as HR onboarding, training, client pitches, and product rollouts. As part of the Google Workspace suite, Google Vids integrates with Docs, Slides, and Sheets.

To access Google Vids, users must join Google Workspace Labs, open the Vids page through Docs, and click the plus sign to start a project. Users can choose from about 50 templates or use the “Help Me Create” feature, where they provide a text prompt for the AI to generate a video. The tool offers customizable scene-by-scene editing with options for text, photos, music, and voiceovers.

Google promises ongoing updates and new features for Vids, although no specific timeline for public release has been announced, with plans to refine the tool through Workspace Labs before broader availability.
