Grand Theft Auto Creators Launch New Audio Drama ‘A Better Paradise’
Key figures from the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) franchise have founded a new media production company, Absurd Ventures. Spearheaded by Dan Houser, former lead writer at Rockstar Games, the company includes prominent names like Lazlow Jones and Michael Unsworth. This follows Houser’s departure from Rockstar Games in 2020.
Absurd Ventures’ first project, “A Better Paradise Part One: An Aftermath,” is an audio drama set for release on June 10, 2023. The drama features actors Andrew Lincoln, Paterson Joseph, Rain Spencer, and Shamier Anderson. The storyline revolves around a futuristic video game company whose ambitious AI project leads to its downfall.
The company aims to diversify into various media, including TV, film, graphic novels, and eventually gaming. Absurd Ventures is currently expanding its team to support these endeavors.
