Krasota in Dubai Introduces Multisensory Dining with AI Integration
Krasota, a fine dining restaurant in Dubai, has introduced a groundbreaking multisensory dining experience titled “Imaginary Futures.” This two-hour, eight-course show guides guests through speculative visions of the future using cutting-edge technology. The dining room features a circular 20-seat table surrounded by walls that act as projector screens, utilizing over 20 projectors and numerous sensors to create an immersive environment.
Course Highlights:
1. Space Station Soup and Sandwiches: Misos soup paired with high-protein bread made of sea urchins and tuna, inspired by a Star Wars-esque setting.
2. Fantasy Garden: Plant-based tacos and all-natural “cola,” served in a garden guarded by androids and glowing animals.
3. Underwater Sci-Fi: Glowing jellyfish and cyborg whales set the scene, with custom-made plates shaped like shells to enhance the experience.
4. Cyberpunk City: A gourmet burger and fries served on a tablet screen, against a backdrop inspired by cityscapes like Shanghai and Hong Kong.
5. Apocalyptic Setting: A dish featuring eggplant with elements symbolizing the aftermath of nuclear warfare.
The seventh course features a dish designed through AI, inspired by late French chef Paul Bocuse’s cuisine. The course includes a quail and foie gras recipe balanced by Krasota’s chef Vladimir Mukhin.
The final course, “Eternal,” explores a future where humans live in harmony with nature, symbolized by a serene field of flowers projected around the room. The dessert features a chocolate butterfly resting on a glowing egg-shaped bowl, representing rebirth.
Krasota’s experience culminates with a projection of Dubai’s nighttime skyline, accompanied by contemporary petit fours chocolates served on a glowing box.
Technological Innovations:
The dining setup at Krasota involves interactive projections and sensors on the table that track objects and hands. This allows for dynamic and targeted visuals, enhancing each course’s narrative. The restaurant’s founders, digital artist Anton Nenashev, chef Vladimir Mukhin, and entrepreneur Boris Zarkov, have harnessed AI to create this unique dining spectacle.
Krasota opened in Dubai in 2023, following its launch in Moscow in 2021. The immersive dining shows indicate a future where culinary experiences merge with advanced technology to create an unparalleled sensory journey. Future projects include an “Alice in Wonderland”-inspired show set to launch in 2025.
This integration of AI and sensory stimuli in dining experiences reflects broader trends where technology and gastronomy intersect to redefine fine dining.
