Owl Labs has introduced the Meeting Owl 4+, an advanced iteration of their hybrid meeting device, tailored for video conferencing. Available as of June 4, 2024, the Meeting Owl 4+ incorporates a 360-degree camera, speaker, and microphone system with 4K Ultra HD video capabilities.
Powered by the latest Owl Intelligence System (OIS) software, the Meeting Owl 4+ supports wireless integration with additional devices to adapt to various meeting room sizes and needs. Frank Weishaupt, CEO of Owl Labs, highlighted the importance of including non-verbal communication in virtual meetings, ensuring remote participants have a clear view and sound during collaborations.
The device targets a broad market, from small businesses to large enterprises, offering features such as simplified IT management and customizable startup settings. It can wirelessly pair with other Owl devices to expand coverage, and supports multiple configurations for different room setups. The 64-megapixel camera streams within a 10-foot radius, supported by 360-degree speakers and smart microphones with an 18-foot pickup radius.
Available in the US, Canada, and Europe, the Meeting Owl 4+ is priced at £1,999 in the UK. It simplifies management via The Nest tool for IT administrators and integrates easily with video conferencing platforms like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet.
