Pegasystems Expands Generative AI Framework with AWS and Google Cloud Integration
Las Vegas, 10 June 2024 – Pegasystems Inc. has announced the expansion of its Pega GenAI capabilities, integrating with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud’s Large Language Models (LLMs). This development, unveiled at the PegaWorld iNspire conference, aims to enhance the generative AI functionality within the Pega Platform, allowing clients greater flexibility in deploying AI solutions.
The integration is set to become available in the second half of 2024. The new connectors will enable enterprises to incorporate AWS and Google Cloud’s generative AI technologies into their workflows and decision-making processes. The AWS integration will include Amazon Bedrock, a service offering high-performing foundation models, and Amazon Titan, while Google Cloud will contribute Vertex AI, Google Gemini, and other LLMs.
Pegasystems’ platform will now facilitate a broader range of generative AI services and models, enhancing the capabilities for various business operations from customer engagement to back-office automation. This expansion is designed to provide unified governance, auditability, and control over the AI applications across enterprise operations.
“Generative AI is evolving rapidly,” said Don Schuerman, Chief Technology Officer at Pegasystems. “Creating real-world applications that integrate seamlessly with our clients’ infrastructure and strategies is crucial. By expanding our partnerships with AWS and Google Cloud, we enable our clients to choose the best models to suit their operational needs while ensuring security and compliance.”
AWS’s models, such as those provided by Amazon Bedrock, offer a range of foundation models via a single API, which enhances ease of use and integration for Pega clients. Google’s Vertex AI, known for its extensive model options, allows businesses to tailor AI applications according to their specific requirements.
The Pega Connect GenAI architecture, part of this expansion, is designed for low-code developers. It allows for the easy integration of generative AI into various workflows, boosting productivity through streamlined processes. For instance, it can facilitate the summarisation of documents in processing workflows, providing users with a quick overview of critical information.
AWS and Google Cloud representatives will be presenting at the PegaWorld iNspire conference. AWS will discuss responsible deployment of generative AI on 10 June, while Google Cloud will focus on driving innovation with AI on 11 June.
Rodrigo Rocha, Head of Global Apps ISV Partnerships at Google Cloud, emphasised the importance of choice in generative AI models: “Expanding our partnership with Pega enables organizations to transform their operations effectively. Generative AI offers a broad spectrum of possibilities that require tailored solutions to meet diverse business needs.”
Since 1983, Pegasystems has provided enterprise solutions to optimize business processes through AI decisioning and workflow automation. This latest expansion underscores Pega’s commitment to evolving its platform to meet the changing demands of the business landscape while ensuring its clients have access to cutting-edge AI technologies.
