Universitas BSI Pontianak Campus prepares to celebrate Indonesia’s 79th Independence Day with a seminar focused on the transformative role of artificial intelligence in education.
Pontianak to Host Digital Independence Seminar on AI in Education
Pontianak, Indonesia – To commemorate the 79th anniversary of Indonesia’s independence, Universitas BSI (Bina Sarana Informatika) Pontianak Campus is set to hold a seminar titled “Artificial Intelligence for Education: Transforming Education in the Digital Age.” The event is part of the university’s efforts to celebrate Indonesia’s Independence Day while promoting the advancement of education through digital technology.
The seminar will take place on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Harris Hotel in Pontianak, running from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. WIB. Kartika Handayani will host the event, featuring keynote speaker Rita Hastarita, the Head of the Education and Culture Office of West Kalimantan Province. The main speaker for the seminar will be Bryan Givan, Chief Creative Officer (CCO) of Mandiri Digital Universe (MDU), supported by Dedi Saputra, Head of Marketing and Communication (Marcom) at Universitas BSI.
According to Eri Bayu Pratama, the Head of Universitas BSI Pontianak Campus, this seminar serves not just as a celebration of Independence Day but also as an educational initiative to highlight the growing importance of technology in education. “We are organising this seminar as part of the 79th Indonesian Independence Day celebrations. With the theme AI for Education, we hope to provide new insights into how technology, particularly Artificial Intelligence, can be applied to advance the education system in this digital era,” Eri stated in a press release on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.
The event is open to the public, especially targeting students, teachers, and school principals interested in understanding the role of AI in education. Participants of the seminar will receive various benefits including a certificate, exclusive souvenirs, snacks, lunch, and educational scholarships.
