Salesforce, a US-based software company, has announced plans to establish an artificial intelligence (AI) center in London. This initiative is part of the firm’s commitment to invest $4 billion in AI research and development in the UK over the next five years.

The new facility will be located in the Blue Fin Building in Southwark, South London, and is intended as an innovation hub. It aims to bring together industry experts and businesses to advance AI innovation. Salesforce, headquartered in San Francisco, is widely recognized for its customer relationship management software but is expanding its focus toward AI technologies.

Salesforce UK and Ireland CEO Zahra Bahrololoumi highlighted the potential for AI to significantly boost UK business growth, citing predictions of the UK AI market exceeding $1 trillion by 2035. London’s Deputy Mayor for Business and Growth, Howard Dawber, emphasized London’s growing importance as a global AI business center and welcomed Salesforce’s investment.

The announcement comes just ahead of London Tech Week, starting on June 10, which showcases the UK as a leading technology hub.
