Skyworks Solutions, Inc., a key player in the semiconductor sector, will be unveiling its latest power isolation solutions at the PCIM Europe event in Nuremberg. The showcased products are tailored for enhancing energy management in AI data servers and EV charging stations, catering to the increasing demand for advanced isolation devices in electric mobility and AI-driven data processing.

Skyworks Solutions, Inc., a notable player in the semiconductor sector, is set to present its latest power isolation solutions at the PCIM Europe event in Nuremberg from June 11-13, 2024. The company will be showcasing a range of products designed to improve energy management in AI data servers and electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, with demonstrations taking place at Stand 6-200, Hall 6.

Among the highlighted products is the Si82Fx family of isolated gate driver solutions. These devices are tailored for power switching applications, offering precise timing specifications, selectable current output, and high noise immunity. Such features are crucial for the efficient design of power converters that manage energy in AI data servers and EV charging stations.

“The current push toward electric mobility and the growing prevalence of AI-driven data processing are resulting in demand for advanced isolation devices,” said Rudye McGlothlin, Vice President and General Manager of Power and Isolation Products at Skyworks. He further highlighted that the flexibility in configuration, multiple output modes, and tailored package options allow designers to create bespoke solutions that optimize system performance and longevity.

Other products on display include the digital isolator Si86Sx family, which features 6 kV isolation, low-power modes, and high noise immunity—key qualities for AI server power supplies. Additionally, the Si89xx family of isolated analog amplifiers, voltage sensors, and delta-sigma modulated (DSM) devices will be featured. These are designed for precise current and voltage measurement, which is becoming increasingly important for expedited electric automotive charging.

For industrial applications requiring isolated interfaces, Skyworks will demonstrate RS-485 transceivers with CMOS isolation technology. These transceivers are designed to protect systems from high voltages and transient noise and are compatible with interfaces such as ProfiBus and ModBus.

The company will also present its range of isolated smart switches, which are intended to deliver performance and reliability for AI infrastructure. The Si83x family, which includes up to four isolated switches with low resistance in a single package, aims to facilitate efficient data processing and management.

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. is known for its significant contributions to the wireless networking sector, providing analog and mixed-signal semiconductors across various industries, including automotive, aerospace, and medical markets. The company operates globally, with facilities in Asia, Europe, and North America. It is listed on the Nasdaq Global Select Market and is part of the S&P 500 index.

While Skyworks aims to address the evolving needs of markets driven by trends in electric mobility and AI, the company faces challenges such as accurately predicting market requirements and competing in a crowded marketplace. These topics are detailed in their filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The PCIM Europe event is a pivotal platform for companies in the power electronics industry, acting as a hub for showcasing innovations in energy management and electronic components. Attendees can expect to engage with a diverse array of technologies designed to advance efficiency and performance in both industrial and automotive applications.
