Vectorworks, Inc., a leading design and BIM software provider, collaborates with EvolveLAB to integrate AI-powered visualization app Veras into its software suite. This partnership aims to revolutionise creative workflows for designers by leveraging advanced AI technologies, enhancing design capabilities, and streamlining the visualization process.

Vectorworks, Inc. Expands AI Capabilities Through EvolveLAB Partnership

COLUMBIA, Md., April 23, 2024 – Vectorworks, Inc., a design and Building Information Modelling (BIM) software provider under the Nemetschek Group, has entered into a partnership with EvolveLAB. This collaboration aims to integrate EvolveLAB’s AI-powered visualization app, Veras, directly into Vectorworks’ software suite. The goal of this partnership is to enhance the creative workflows of designers by leveraging advanced AI technologies.

Enhanced AI Capabilities

The integration of Veras into Vectorworks is seen as a significant step towards enriching the design capabilities available to users. Veras is a mature AI technology that specialises in generating high-quality visual output and is expected to complement Vectorworks’ existing AI Visualizer. This addition aims to provide designers with the ability to explore iterative designs and create visuals of 3D models early in their design processes. The tools will be accessible to users of Vectorworks Architect, Landmark, Spotlight, and Fundamentals professional licenses.

Official Statements

Dave Donley, Senior Director of Rendering and Research at Vectorworks, commented on the partnership: “We are excited to partner with the EvolveLAB team to bring Veras and its trusted capabilities to Vectorworks users. This collaboration underscores our dedication to empowering designers with cutting-edge tools that not only enhance their creativity but also boost their efficiency.”

On behalf of EvolveLAB, President Bill Allen said, “We are honoured to bring additional AI ideation and rendering to the Vectorworks community by incorporating Veras into its software. From this partnership, we look forward to the tremendous value it will add to an already amazing application.”

Technical Integration

The integration introduces a new web palette within Vectorworks, which will enable the creation of high-quality project imagery based on 3D models and natural language or predefined prompts. Users can refine images from previously created visuals and generate up to four images simultaneously. This new feature aims to streamline the visualization process, making it quicker and more efficient for designers.

Access and Installation

Customers interested in exploring Veras’ capabilities can do so by installing the Veras plugin through the “Install Partner Product” command found in the Vectorworks Help Menu. Additionally, users are encouraged to stay updated on future features, integrations, and plugins through Vectorworks’ Public Roadmap.

About the Companies

Vectorworks, Inc.: Founded in 1985, Vectorworks provides award-winning design and BIM software used by architecture, landscape architecture, and entertainment professionals in 85 countries. The company is headquartered in Columbia, Maryland, and operates offices in the UK, Canada, Australia, and Japan.
