Volvo Group and Indian Universities Partner to Enhance Engineering Education

Volvo Group in India joins forces with Manipal University, KIIT University, and SRM University to elevate engineering education through mentorship, internships, and pre-placement opportunities, focusing on key disciplines for the automotive industry.

Volvo Group in India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Manipal University, KIIT University, and SRM University to enhance engineering education in the country. Announced on June 7, 2024, the partnerships will involve mentorship programs for postgraduate students in mechanical, electrical, electronics, and computer science disciplines. These collaborations will also offer internship opportunities and pre-placement offers, aimed at developing top talent for the automotive engineering sector in India. Kamal Bali, President and MD of Volvo Group India, emphasized the importance of collaboration in nurturing future engineers and fostering innovation. These initiatives are seen as a strategic move to equip engineers with the relevant skills required for a successful career in the automotive industry.
