Steve Endacott introduces AI Steve, an AI-generated politician, aiming to reshape democratic processes through direct input from constituents. Endacott’s vision includes a four-day work week, prison capacity expansions, and leveraging technology for better garbage collection.
On July 4, Brighton will see the first candidacy of a completely AI-generated politician, AI Steve, designed to revolutionize democratic processes. The brainchild of Steve Endacott, a semi-retired investor and neural voice technology developer, AI Steve will address constituents’ concerns and vote in Parliament based on decisions made by constituents through the AI system.
Endacott, who describes himself as a capitalist with a socialist conscience, will stand as an independent candidate due to a late registration error with the Electoral Commission for his Smarter UK party. His AI system is designed to capture and process feedback from constituents, proposing policies that are validated and scored weekly by local voluntary validators.
If elected, AI Steve aims to introduce a four-day work week by 2030, expand prison capacities, scrap London’s ULEZ charge, increase national insurance, and enhance garbage collection efficiency using technology. Endacott emphasizes that this approach seeks to reconnect voters directly with their MPs by leveraging AI to reflect the true desires of the electorate.
