Credo AI, based in Palo Alto, California, has introduced a vast AI Risk and Controls Library, incorporating over 400 new GenAI-specific controls to identify and mitigate risks associated with AI systems. The library aims to help organisations meet new standards like ISO 42001 and NIST’s Generative AI risk profile, supporting streamlined Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) for AI.

Credo AI has launched the largest and most comprehensive AI Risk and Controls Library. Based in Palo Alto, California, the AI governance software leader developed this extensive library by utilizing academic research, the company’s expertise, and industry frameworks such as MITRE and NIST. This library, unveiled on June 8, 2024, is designed to identify and mitigate risks associated with AI systems, enhancing their safety and governance.

CEO Navrina Singh highlighted the importance of meeting new standards like ISO 42001 and NIST’s Generative AI risk profile. Credo AI aims to help organizations swiftly adopt and comply with the latest AI capabilities. The expanded library includes over 400 new GenAI-specific controls, informed by NIST’s recently released draft AI RMF GenAI Profile. Created with input from over 2,500 members, including Credo AI, this profile addresses risks posed by generative AI.

Credo AI’s platform now features nearly 700 AI Risk Scenarios and controls, supporting streamlined Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) for AI. The pre-built library allows development teams to innovate while automating governance tasks. Founded in 2020, Credo AI is recognized for its contributions to AI governance and compliance, receiving accolades like the CB Insights AI 100 and recognition from the World Economic Forum.
