ENCO President Ken Frommert Discusses AI Trends at InfoComm 2024

Ken Frommert, President of ENCO, shares insights on the anticipated AI trends in the AV industry at InfoComm 2024, including applications such as live captioning and real-time translation. ENCO’s booth will focus on showcasing their Qimera virtual production system with AR, VR, and XR capabilities, emphasising diverse corporate video production use cases.

InfoComm 2024, a prominent AV industry event, will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from June 8-14. Ken Frommert, President of ENCO, shared insights on upcoming trends and their booth’s focus during the event.

The key trend at this year’s InfoComm is expected to be Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly in applications such as speech-to-text conversion, live captioning, and real-time multilingual translation. ENCO will spotlight its Qimera virtual production system, which includes AR, VR, and XR capabilities powered by Unreal Engine. This system is designed for diverse use cases, including corporate video productions.

ENCO will also demonstrate enCaption Sierra for automated live captioning and enTranslate for real-time translation with AI-generated overdubs. Additionally, this InfoComm will see the debut of AiM, a text-to-speech product utilizing synthetic voice for instant audio creation.

Frommert emphasized the inspiration drawn from customer projects and trends observed at InfoComm, highlighting the importance of networking and the potential for leveraging new technologies in innovative ways.

The InfoComm series will continue to feature insights from other exhibitors, focusing on various technological advancements in the AV industry.
